The role requires a strong background in federal and international taxation, with a particular focus on transfer pricing and tax controversy.Key Responsibilities:Represent clients in federal tax disputes, including negotiations and litigation before the IRS and federal courts.Provide expert legal counsel on federal and international tax issues, particularly in transfer pricing and tax controversy.Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support dispute resolution and tax strategy development.Draft and file legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs, related to tax controversy cases.Collaborate with clients and internal teams to devise and implement effective tax solutions and strategies.Manage complex cases, ensuring accurate documentation and communication throughout the process.Stay abreast of developments in tax law, regulations, and relevant case law.Offer training and mentorship to junior attorneys and staff as needed.Requirements:5 years of experience in federal and international taxation, with a significant focus on transfer pricing and tax controversy.In-depth knowledge of federal tax subject matter and experience with tax litigation.Preferred: Background in accounting, LL.M. in tax law, federal court clerkship experience, and knowledge of international tax issues.Excellent oral advocacy, legal research, organizational, and writing skills.Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.Energetic and collaborative personality with outstanding interpersonal skills.Education
