Job Duties:
Reads customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up 25 pounds and occasional lift and/or move up 50 pounds or more.
Conveys materials and items from receiving or in-process areas to storage or to other designated areas. Experience with the operation of a forklift is preferred. Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as part number, lot number or bin number
Fills pick tickets, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items. Assembles customer orders from stock and conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
Marks materials with identifying information. Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed. Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
Process production orders for in-house kitting and assembly. Some kits are produced using a kitting machine while others are manually kitted.
Uses computer to enter records. Compiles worksheets or pick tickets from customer specifications or notes. Prepares parcels for shipping and delivery.
Good driving record required if duties will include making customer deliveries.
Make deliveries to VMI customers to replenish and scan inventory bins.
Maintains inventory, including inventory adjustments sheets.
