Interior Aircraft Assembly Supervisor supervises interior fabrication of aircraft including mechanics, the fitting of sub-assemblies to the aircraft, and final aircraft interior production. Ensures compliance with all engineering, FAA, and customer regulations and specifications. Being an Interior Aircraft Assembly Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to Interior Aircraft Assembly Manager. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. The Interior Aircraft Assembly Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. To be an Interior Aircraft Assembly Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. This position requires the individual to assess the cabins of aircraft upon arrival and determine restoration needs. Evaluates condition of seats, carpet, side rails, cabinets and other areas of wear. Is responsible for restoring cabins to service ready conditions. Must work well with vendors and have experience with interior restoration processes. Reports to senior management. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and pays significant attention to the smallest details.
