Job Summary:
Emily Anne Interior Design is in search of a positive and self-motivated individual, with a minimum of 1-3 years and who can thrive in an intimate, but very fast-growing firm. The Junior Designer will contribute to the success of the firm by assisting with all aspects of design development, sourcing, meeting preparation, technical drawings, maintaining organized binders and sample library. Candidate should be able to work within existing systems and help create new systems for continued success. Must be adaptable and able to successfully function with lots of balls in the air! The candidate must be extremely organized and self sufficient. A strong background in furnishings selections, furnishing resources and fabrics is imperative, with the ability to select and create visual design presentations. Must be proficient in FF&E selections, including but not limited to: tile, flooring, paint, lighting, trim, doors & windows, cabinetry, appliances, plumbing, hardware, etc. The ability to create detailed construction documents through AutoCAD is required. Polished written and verbal skills are imperative.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior designers to develop design concepts and space plans
- Assist in selecting materials, finishes, furniture, and accessories for projects
- Create 2D and 3D renderings using AutoCAD and Sketchup. Knowledge in Revit or Chief Architect a plus.
- Prepare presentation boards and visual materials for client meetings in InDesign and Photoshop
- Assist with project management tasks such as coordinating with contractors and vendors
- Conduct on-site visits to assess project progress and ensure design intent is being met
- Assist in preparing construction documents and specifications
- Stay updated on current design trends and industry best practices

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Sketchup, Revit and/or Chief Architect, and InDesign
- Strong knowledge of interior design principles, materials, and finishes
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task; meet deadlines and is eager to learn and grow with firm
- Knowledge of project management processes is a plus
