There is an exciting opportunity for an Interior Designer to join the team at Onni working on a number of commercial projects. The Interior Designer is responsible for designing and specifying projects throughout Onni’s commercial portfolio.

Job Description:

The Interior Designer is responsible for designing and specifying projects throughout Onni Group’s commercial portfolio. These responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, selecting furniture, fixtures, and equipment, drafting floor plans and construction documents, and conducting on-site field verifications. The designer collaborates with a diverse and creative team, dedicated to excellent in design and innovative problem solving. In addition, the designer makes sure the assigned projects adhere to the highest safety standard in accordance with all state and federal laws.

• Designs and creates finish palettes and furniture specifications to be used in building amenities, common areas, and spec suites

• Responsible for selecting materials for the commercial portfolio adhering to ADA and building codes

• Manages the communication with suppliers to attain up-to-date materials

• Conducts market research to determine standards within the market

• Keeps up to date on market trends to influence designs

• Coordinates assembling sample boards

• Creates design presentations for approval

• Prepares CAD drawing for tenant and brokers

• Builds Reflective Ceiling Plan, Construction Plan, and Finishing and fixture schedule.

• Specifies finishes, fixtures, and equipment to be used on all commercial projects across Onni's portfolio

• Secures all furniture and accessories for office use within budgets specifications

• Supervises the installation of all furniture and related items on assigned projects

• Works on marketing material such as brochures, web sites and email blasts

• Works with brokerage team to establish strong support of leasing Campaign

• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements:

·         ASID designation or equivalent

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or related field preferred

·         2 years of Interior Design experience working on commercial projects preferred

·         Knowledge of local municipal and federal codes

·         Knowledge of and ability to design within ADA guidelines

·         Knowledge of LEED certification

·         General knowledge of the marketing process for real estate projects such as Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, and HTML coding.

• Ability to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projects

• Ability to effectively communicate with project team members or departments

• Interacts well with other disciplines and clients in a manner that builds productive relationships
