Overview:
Residential Home Building Company is seeking an Interior Designer to join our team. The Interior Designer isresponsible for being the main point of contact for a client during their build and setting the tone of the job. They assist in concept development, material and finish selections, and space planning.They must have strong design sensibility, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail and compassion for the client’s expectations. Understanding of cost estimation and industry related terminology and processes a must.
Responsibilities:
· Work closely with clients to understand their design preferences, lifestyle, and functional requirements
· Acts as the primary point of contact for clients providing updates, addressing concerns, fielding questions, issues, and control of the build process
· Collaborate with architects, estimator, project managers, and suppliers to ensure seamless integration of interior design with overall home plans
· Create and communicate personalized design concepts considering factors such as space utilization, lighting, color schemes, and finishes selection
· Select and source materials and finishes that complement the overall design vision and meet quality standards
· Ensure that selections adhere to local building codes and regulations
· Oversee the implementation of design plans, coordinating with Project Managers, subcontractors, estimator, and vendors to ensure timely and accurate execution
· Work closely with the project management team to develop and manage interior design budgets, ensuring that expenses are tracked, and cost-saving opportunities are identified
· Provide accurate cost estimates for design elements and materials
· Work within specified budget constraints, seeking cost-effective solutions without compromising quality
· Identify out-of-scope/extra work to and execute change orders for clients

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
