Job Overview

As an International Tax Senior Manager or Manager, you would be applying your knowledge and industry experience to all phases of a client engagement including, but not limited to, assisting and developing staff, performing technical research, reviewing returns, consulting on structuring opportunities, and communicating with the client throughout the engagement process.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Consult with the engagement team on all international tax matters
• Research international tax issues and opportunities
• Develop and present tax planning strategies for multinational corporations to client executives 
• Facilitate the implementation of International Tax projects including identifying, understanding, communicating, and leading projects from inception to completion
• Provide technical expertise and knowledge of processes to expand the line of business and coordinate and support practice development across all business lines
• Develop team of professional staff with expertise in international taxation through leadership, mentoring, supervision, training, and providing performance feedback
• Responsible for managing all US International Tax Compliance matters
• Prepare E&P, Subpart F calculations, GILTI, FDII, and allocation & apportionment of expenses
• Review of all foreign entity US tax returns (5471, 8858 & 8865)
• Review of non-US income tax provisions, where applicable
• Preparation of FTC Calculations including review of US Form 1118
• Ensure accurate reporting of all tax transactions
• Assist with information request for US tax audit
• Manage, direct, and monitor multiple client services teams on client engagements; plan, execute, direct, and complete international tax projects in a wide variety of industries; provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clients; and manage to budget
• Manage the delivery of a full range of international tax services and advise U.S. and foreign multinational companies on the tax implications of their international operations as well as coordinating U.S. tax laws with foreign tax laws to develop an optimal worldwide tax strategy
• Consult with clients on tax-efficient structuring of international transactions, effective use of tax treaties, planning related to offshore investments activities and repatriation programs to minimize US and foreign income taxes of our US-based multinational clients, minimizing worldwide tax burdens on business transactions and operations, and making effective foreign investments.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and ensure the highest level of client service is achieved

• Responsible for completion and timely deliverables to clients
• Develop business by expanding existing relationship with clients, maintaining personal networks, and participating in civic, charitable, and professional organizations 

Qualifications

Education/Licensing

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or other relevant field, from an accredited university require
• Master’s Degree in Tax or Accounting preferred
• CPA certification required
• Other professional certifications desired

Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• 5 years of public accounting experience in a tax environment, with a concentrated focus on international tax 
• Thorough knowledge of the tax process, including strong research skills
• Experience in staff leadership and development
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, ability to think critically and make decisions
• Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Client service mentality
• Teamwork oriented with a willingness to grow, a passion for living, and desire to go above and beyond

Software

• Excellent Microsoft Office Suite experience
• Knowledge of accounting and tax software is required, UltraTax, GoSystems, OneSource Income Tax, OneSource Tax Provision and GoFileRoom preferred
