International Controller directs and develops the organization's international accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives. Ensures the preparation and analysis of all financial reports meet the needs of the organization and comply with all applicable regulations. Being an International Controller maintains an in-depth, and up to date knowledge and understanding of both US and international accounting principles. Advises management of potential changes in accounting regulations or practices that may impact international operations and reporting. Additionally, International Controller requires a bachelor's degree of accounting or finance. Typically reports to a CFO or top management. Typically requires CPA. The International Controller manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Job Summary
We are looking for a candidate to fill the position of Controller based in Middlebury, VT. This position will perform a variety of accounting functions such as Bank Reconciliation, General Ledger, Financial Reporting and Regulatory filings. The Controller will also provide assistance in Payroll Processing, Accounts receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and Month End/Year End Analysis.
The incumbent requires accounting experience and strong experience with the use Microsoft excel and Accounting software. A Degree in Business or Accounting would be highly desirable. Ability to work independently, with initiative, multitask and prioritize work assignments and manage time.
For the right candidate, a hybrid work arrangement combining remote work and in-office may be possible. The balance will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and company needs. Flexible hours may be considered, provided the employee is available during core business hours (10 AM to 2 PM) and attends necessary meetings. Specific details will be discussed during the hiring process.
