What We Need
Obagi is seeking a culturally sensitive and open-minded International Marketing Manager to drive Obagi’s growth internationally. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and overseeing international marketing initiatives to drive business and increase brand awareness across all go-to-market regions and channels.
What You’ll Do
- Design, implement, and manage full 360° marketing campaigns across growing international markets/regions/channels: (SAPAC, MENA, and Europe) with an emphasis on international adaptation, localization, and execution of Obagi’s global brand strategy.
- Create comprehensive and market specific strategies that align with market-specific cultural differences, consumer behaviors, and current trends.
- Ensure brand development remains consistent while accommodating cultural nuances and addressing localized needs.
- Strategically support relevant business drivers related to international marketing for all new product launches including: briefing, planning, trade & promotional strategies, local market initiatives, pricing, logistics, etc…
- Support CMO and ICGO in preparation for any key milestones: 3-Year Strategic Note, Zone Summits, Drive Meetings, etc.
- Lead business modeling simulations and analysis to support annual brand strategy, budget process, and any specific market development projects.
- Partner with global marketing to support retail sizing and pricing initiatives for all new launches and catalogues.
- Conduct regular business analysis inclusive of monthly retail reporting, sell-in and sell-out, new launches, business makeup, distribution reports, pricing, ad hoc reporting, etc…
- Utilize data to drive better decision making, optimize spend, and pair with creative solutions across all country specific initiatives and campaigns including but not limited to: global marketing, social/PR, digital online, operations, education and creative.
- Research and analyze market trends and competitor strategies to continuously revise and improve market developments related to campaigns, brand activation, talent/influencer selection, assets, etc…
- Support with assortment strategies for specifics markets and channels.
What You’ll Need
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Marketing, Advertising, International Business, Communication, or related field
- 5-7 years of relevant marketing and business development experience, CPG/Beauty industry experience required.
- Demonstrated success operating in the global marketplace with an elevated sensitivity to cultural differences and nuances
- Additional language fluency highly preferred (Spanish, French, Chinese, Italian, etc)
- Exceptional organizational and prioritization/time management skills; demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Comfortable operating in a fast paced, ever-changing environment; someone who thrives in ambiguity and adapts quickly
- Available and willing to travel as needed (passport required for international travel; occasional travel to Long Beach, CA may be required)
- Possess an energetic, positive attitude that encourages a team and supports the growth and professional
- development of others.
