RADIOLOGY TECHNICIAN
Riverview Surgical Center, LLC is a state-of-the-art surgery center offering the latest technologies, biologic injections, minimally invasive procedures, and more. The two-story facility is located along the edge of the Missouri River in South Sioux City, Nebraska. We are growing rapidly and are looking for a versatile Radiology Tech to add to our team!
In this role, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic exams utilizing radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment on patients in surgery, pain management and other areas as we grow and expand service lines. As a Radiology Technologist, you are a role model and resource to many. Portions of your work require you to both work as a member of a team and independently.
JOB SUMMARY
- Perform diagnostic images and gather data using necessary equipment.
- Educate the patient about the imaging procedure
- Provide ongoing, daily support to team members and physicians during procedures.
- Perform quality control tests on diagnostic equipment including:
- Clean and maintain equipment and log accordingly.
- Maintain files and accompanying logs for easy retrieval. Maintain radiological records including patient/procedure/fluoroscopy time logs, personal radiation exposure reports, and annual lead safety report.
- Track scheduling for annual PM’s, service to the C-arm, and ensure all reports are kept in appropriate logbooks.
- Position patients and equipment to capture the correct area and produce clear images
- Assist clinical care providers with patient positioning based on the procedure being performed and physician preferences.
- Demonstrate compassionate patient care by explaining procedure, responding to patient needs, and demonstrate empathy and concern for patient.
- Performs and appropriately captures fluoroscopy images in surgery. Able to identify anatomy on fluoroscopy and is responsible for the technical completion of fluoroscopy images in surgery.
- Label, print, and save images to the appropriate patient record.
- Knowledgeable in the use of monitors and other applicable medical equipment including but not limited to the Fluoroscopy machine.
- Report equipment disrepair to appropriate leadership for correction, repair, replacement, or calls for service as needed. Ensure safe and proper use of all equipment.
- Use lead shielding appropriate to procedure as needed.
- Responsible for monitoring staff exposure, orders badges for all team members in the operating room as needed, consistently maintains a logbook of reports, and is responsible for monitoring and logging lead safety items annually.
- Responsible to ensure all actions taken and care provided follows state and federal code and that all necessary patient care is rendered as appropriate.
- Support the safety, privacy, and comfort of the patient during transport and in Operating/Procedure Room.
- Practices universal precautions and infection control measures consistently.
- Provide relevant insight to management to assist with development and maintenance of compliant policies.
- Assist other team members in delivering patient care including but not limited to, transport, transfers, positioning, safety, monitor placement, and/or disinfection between procedures.
- Willingness and ability to complete tasks as is appropriate to the complete functioning of a small ambulatory surgery center and patient care clinics.
- Perform other duties and assignments as directed.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Active Radiology Technologist Certification with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- 1 years’ experience working in a similar healthcare field (Preferred)
- BLS Certification from The American Heart Association
