Summary

Responsible for developing and implementing improved inventory control processes and standard work for the manufacturing site as well as supplying the manufacturing floor with required operations supplies. Is also responsible to be the alternate for all shipping and receiving duties.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Implements and executes a site cycle count program of production materials to leverage current process and available/new technology.
• Develops and executes a process for recurring reviews to ensure scrap exposure to expiring materials is minimal.
• Implements and executes a finished goods cycle count program that encompasses maintaining real time inventory counts of finished goods as well as signaling for replenishment (kan-ban).
• Drives visibility and recurring reviews to finished goods excess inventory that may have been overproduced during an order.
• Implements and executes a cycle count program for the non-product inventory items to ensure real-time inventory and audits and drive area layout optimization to facilitate First In and First Out. Helps in planning and executing quarterly inventories.
• Responsible for the daily issuance of materials to initiate production/water spider activities (replenishment of operational supplies following the current process) and the implementation of standard work procedures for these activities.
• Responsible for driving the weekly inventory adjustments process and implementing scrap thresholds to mitigate aging/expiring inventory of floor. Will require frequent collaboration with both production and planning departments.
• Creates and continuously improves standard work to train other personnel on inventory control and management when removing or adding supplies into both physical and electronic inventory locations.
• Helps manage and improve inventory control requirements such as new labeling requirements, replacement of containers used manufacturing, packaging, etc.
• Responsible for administrative processes related to shipments, which includes keeping the shipment database updated.
• Completes monthly inventory reporting and any other associated reports/KPIs.
• Serves as the backup to Shipping and Receiving functions.

Education & Experience

Required:

• High School Diploma
• 2 years inventory experience

Desired:

• Experience with clean room manufacturing
