Manufacturing Materials & Inventory Control Specialist
OVERALL FUNCTION:
Reporting to the Manager of Manufacturing, the Manufacturing Materials & Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for the organization and maintenance of Meyer Sound’s Electronics and Service warehouse facilities, as well as the accuracy and movement of inventory within the two facilities. The Manufacturing Materials & Inventory Control Specialist is a full-time, non-exempt position.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops, maintains, and implements established and/or new inventory control processes, procedures, and methods in accordance with the company objectives, policies, and requirements.
- Works close with production planning to coordinate work order kitting to assembly and with service technicians to coordinate repairs for kitting and shipping.
- Assists the cycle count team with cycle count tasks, including maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy.
- Maintains product identification and location program, researching inventory discrepancies and making necessary corrections through inventory adjustment processes.
- Conducts accurate data entry and transactional processes.
- Coordinates and integrates efforts across operational departments to enhance and maintain consistent inventory accuracy.
- Develops and implements methods to dispose rejected and/or obsolete inventory items.
- Ensures resolution of non-conformities relating to product, process, and quality systems.
- Prepares for and participates in yearly inventory audit and reconciliation.
- Participates in manufacturing and material handling team meetings.
- Contributes as team member to strategic supply chain projects, prototype development, new product release and other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a warehousing and parts fulfillment roles.
- Problem solving and analytical ability.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Accuracy and attention to details.
- Confident and thoughtful decision-making skills.
- Independent thinker, self-starter and self-directed, working well with minimal supervision.
- Effective listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong PC skills and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams etc.)
- Forklift certified preferred but will train in-house if necessary.
