1. Job Description - The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for all repacking paperwork, keeping the warehouse up to date with produce and dry good materials, and transferring products between our locations.
2. Health and Safety Ensure that safety procedures are followed at all times. The use of location prescribed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE’s) and supply list listed under Job Specific duties is mandatory. All Health and Safety policies and procedures established by management must be followed at all times. All Health and Safety policies and procedures pertaining to this position will be initially trained at orientation, and in refresher training completed annually or as needed. A hardcopy of the Health and Safety policies and procedures Handbook pertaining to Nature Fresh is located in the employee break area, in the Human Resources office, or online on the company web for review at any time. Any non-conformance or inquiries pertaining to health and safety must be brought to the attention of your supervisor and will be dealt with accordingly. Workplace harassment will not be tolerated from any person in the workplace. Harassment can arise from a variety of sources, such as customers, clients, employers, supervisors, other workers, intimate partners, or family members. Everyone in the workplace must be dedicated to preventing workplace harassment. Managers, supervisors, and workers are expected to uphold this policy at all times and will be held accountable by the employer. For further explanation, please refer to the Employee Handbook or Health and Safety board.
3. Food Safety Proper handling and all food safety policies and procedures established by management must be followed at all times. All food safety policies and procedures pertaining to this position will be initially trained at orientation, and in refresher training completed annually or as needed. A hardcopy of the Food Safety policies and procedures Handbook pertaining to Nature Fresh is located in the employee break area, in the Human Resources office, or online on the company Any non-conformance or inquiries pertaining to food safety must be brought to the attention of your supervisor and will be dealt with accordingly.
4. Job Specific Duties • Maintains inventory cycle count and physical inventory programs. • Track orders and investigate inventory problems to resolve in a timely manner. • Follow GMP's, and safety policies. • Ensure accurate counting and disposition of all defective or damaged produce/dry goods. • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures. • Identify inventory concerns, develop a plan of corrective action and report the plan to the Gatekeeping Supervisor. • Work with the inventory systems including NAV. • Monitor and maintain current inventory levels of produce and dry good materials. • Count and tag skids. • Assist the Gatekeeping department as needed. • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management.
5. Qualifications • Experience with computers, specifically Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) • Reading, writing, oral communication and effective listening skills are essential job tools. • Basic, efficient math skills required. • Organization and attention to detail is essential. • Previous experience with produce is an asset. • Able to work well with minimal supervision for most of the day. • Flexibility, adaptability, and attention to detail are essential. • Must display a respectful, and positive attitude. • Committed to continuous learning as every day presents new information and exciting challenges. • Spanish is an asset. • Must be available to work Monday-Saturday – hours will fluctuate according to the needs of the business.
6. Working Conditions • Fast paced warehouse environment where temperatures vary from cooler to temperature controlled areas. • Working with a wide array of people/culture in a team setting. • There may be an occasional need for some heavy lifting and bending, twisting, and reaching as needed. • Balance between sitting, standing, and walking throughout the warehouse and coolers – some desk work. • Early start times range from 4:00am-6:00am.
