Inventory Control Manager manages inventory control operations. Implements policies, objectives, and initiatives. Being an Inventory Control Manager employs standards, metrics, and procedures that maximize inventory management efficiency. Assists with inventory planning, scheduling, forecasting, and control operations. Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records and data in the company's systems
- Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely and accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of inventory
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the demand planning team to optimize stock levels
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to inventory control
- Utilize data collection and data visualization tools to analyze inventory trends and make informed decisions
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any issues related to sourcing or distribution
- Operate forklifts or other equipment to move inventory as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in inventory control or materials management preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Proficient in using inventory management systems and software
- Knowledge of demand planning principles and techniques
- Familiarity with Nielsen or other market research data is a plus
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
