The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring all inventory items are properly identified and readily accessible in accordance with the organizations inventory cycle. This requires the Inventory Control Specialist to track inventory and orders as well as forecast future supply needs.
Responsibilities
· Executes daily inventory analysis and is able to identify and resolve discrepancies and problems.
· Responsible for scheduling and/or delivering parts to all business units as required. Will be required to be on call some nights and weekends for emergency parts needs.
· Must be able to navigate very remote locations with limited resources for directions.
· Conduct monthly cycle counts and promptly reconcile stock code variances.
· Pick inventory for daily job loadouts and service calls using required documentation.
· Open and close Purchase Orders, receive inventory, and upload all associated documents to company’s network drive(s)
· Oversees stock item master, Identifying incorrect descriptions and stock numbers.
· Assess current orders and forecast future demand in order to provide adequate supplies.
· Correspond with vendors to schedule deliveries so that current and future orders are met.
· Track stock performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
· Work with Manager, Procurement & Logistics towards meeting budgetary objectives for all stock purchases.
· Performs and assists with general maintenance and cleanup of warehouse ensuring stock is organized and easily recognizable by Stock Code
· Follow all safety policies and procedures.
· Conduct all business activities in accordance with the company code of conduct, policies and procedures and all applicable legal requirements.
· Perform other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
Requirements
· High School degree or equivalent.
· 2 years supply chain / purchasing experience
· Strong data entry and reporting skills
· Must be able to operate a forklift
· Highly proficient in Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook.
· Available after hours/weekends/holidays on periodic basis
· Good communication (verbal and written) skills.

· Demonstrated capacity to communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders (employees, clients, and vendors).
· Good at managing own on-the-job time, multitasking and arriving consistently to work as scheduled and on time.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
· This position requires working primarily in an industrial facility, which may not be temperature controlled around machines with moving parts and electrical equipment. It also requires exposure to loud noises and contaminants.
