  • Duties

    What to Expect:

    • Performs a variety of accounting clerical duties pertaining to the preparation and maintenance of journals, schedules and keying of documents, reconciling reports and end of month close out accounting documents.
    • Reviews documents for validity, completeness, and accuracy of accounting data.
    • Assists in maintaining and enforcing security of merchandise and equipment and must be alert to theft as well as initiating appropriate actions to minimize shortages.
    • Performs direct purchases of material through the use of purchase orders, blanket purchase agreements (BPA), and credit card, with a $30,000 limit.
    • Utilizes vendor specific publications and references, and internet search applications for material resourcing.
    • Performs specific accounting and management practices for credit card management.
    • Assists with the oversight of the work reception branch functions and personnel.
    • Lifts and carries objects up to 45 lbs independently and objects over 45 lbs with assistance.
    • Stands on hard surfaces for extended periods.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    What are we looking for?

    • Three years of experience that demonstrates knowledge of material inventory management and control principles and practices is required.
    • Ability to prepare, audit and review associated documents required to manage the supply operations function.
    • Knowledge of requisitioning and supply procedures to check appropriate computer listings, item histories, procurement documents and other appropriate documents in order to determine the status of supply transactions.
    • Ability to operate a personal computer to provide a variety of office documents. Ability to search internet applications to source needed materials and to perform direct purchases of material through the use of purchase orders, BPA's, and credit cards.
    • Knowledge of the local supply organization and the organization serviced.
    • Ability to research discrepancies and resolve recurring problems.
    • Must possess or be able to obtain applicable government operator permits if applicable.
    • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
