Inventory Control Supervisor supervises inventory control operations and teams according to established policies. Follows standard procedures that maximize inventory management efficiency. Being an Inventory Control Supervisor assists with inventory planning, scheduling, forecasting, and control operations. Utilizes Inventory tools and systems for tracking, analysis, auditing, and reporting. Additionally, Inventory Control Supervisor collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to implement and support initiatives to optimize inventory capabilities using best inventory management practices. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Inventory Control Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Inventory Control Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. - Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize errors and improve efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies for inventory optimization
- Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure proper storage, organization, and labeling of inventory
- Conduct regular cycle counts to validate physical inventory against system records
- Assist in the implementation of an MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system for effective inventory managementQualifications:
- Previous experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or similar role
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices
- QuickBooks Experience
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
