ARES is seeking a Business Analyst to provide support at HQ to the IT Portfolio Management (ITPfM) and CPIC processes. This includes all Agency IT Portfolio-related submissions to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) required in support of the Planning, Programming, and Budget Execution (PPBE) process as well as episodic IT Portfolio-related data requests from NASA leadership, OMB, and Congress in support of the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract. eMITS is the Agency’s enterprise-level contract creating and delivering multimedia and technical communications through the use of the internet, digital platforms, and IT management for NASA’s Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Office of Communications (OCOMM). Job Description:
Provides support to the IT Portfolio Management (ITPfM) and CPIC processes. This primarily includes supporting NASA Investment Owners and CIMs throughout various data collection processes. Positions requires advanced skills in Excel, MS Office/M 365, and the ability to input and export data from web-based tools/applications.
Remote, hybrid, and onsite positions the employee bears travel costs to nearest NASA Center for badging and issue of NASA IT equipment.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be able to perform data input and export in web-based applications, proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, One Drive), and SharePoint, willing and able to learn governmental budget process along with Technology Business Management (TBM) Framework, Self-starter with ability to learn new things.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with TBM and Budget Data Requests, advanced excel skills, experience joining and modeling data, previous experience as a Business Analyst or demonstrated experience working with business intelligence tools (preferably Power BI).
Education and Relevant Work Experience:
4-year degree and 4-5 years relevant experience
