The Investment Analyst will primarily support the team’s Senior Portfolio Managers (PMs) and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) in their responsibilities for managing the Everest Reinsurance (Everest) portfolio’s investments across the asset class spectrum. Everest Re seeks to manage the portfolio in a capital-efficient manner that is optimized periodically to achieve the best risk-adjusted return for the company. Most of the portfolio is managed through third-party investment management relationships with leading asset managers around the world. Certain asset classes, however, are managed internally as well where appropriate. The Analyst will gain exposure to investments across the portfolio (fixed income, public equity, private equity) and will be involved in a variety of areas including the development of investment strategies, performance analysis and reporting, strategic asset allocation, risk management, and middle- and back-office process. The Everest Investment team consists of a small group of talented individuals working in a collegial and supportive environment. The Analyst is expected to actively contribute to discussions both internally as well as with external asset managers. The role is expected to be flexible to allow for the individual to gain a breadth of exposure to different asset classes as well as to levels of seniority within Everest. This is a hybrid position based in Warren, NJ working 3 days in office, 2 remote. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Contributing to periodic portfolio reporting using multiple data sources and tools such as financial statements, asset manager reports, accounting reports, Bloomberg, FactSet, BRS Aladdin, etc. Supporting periodic reviews of asset manager portfolios Research and develop independent analysis from external sources Assist in the development of reporting through BRS Aladdin Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) reporting and analysis Develop relationship skills to independently interact with internal and external teams Support the PMs and CIO with ad-hoc analytical presentations and reporting as required Work Experience & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred.
