POSITION SUMMARY: The Paraprofessional Transit Asset Management personnel shall report to Director on matters of all asset health and safety and work together with the Safety Advisor in maintaining the field of safety for the transit department. He/She will be responsible for monitoring the health of assets in all stages of their life cycle and compiling the health data into the Transit Management Plan (TAMP). Continuous research to find PPE or equipment that can help be a proactive approach to safety and ease of access for all employees. Grant writing for Transit Department under Federal Transit Administration (FTA) as well as reporting for grant applications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
REPORTS TO: Must report to the Transit Director.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The work consists, of bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, frequently lifting objects up to 24 lbs., and sitting for extended periods of time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work will be conducted in office, outdoors, maintenance shop, and on bus routes
