Grain Buyer

Location: Manvel, ND (with responsibilities in Northern US operations: ND, MN, MT, NE, CO)

Pulses America, a leading special crop business specializing in edible beans, peas, lentils, and chickpeas, is seeking a motivated and dynamic Grain Buyer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in expanding our operations in the Northern United States.

Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze information to set competitive grower bids.
- Conduct on-farm meetings with growers to discuss our purchasing, seed programs, and other initiatives.
- Coordinate transportation of inbound products to our facilities.
- Oversee settlements with growers and ensure timely payments.
- Resolve any disputes with growers regarding pricing, product quality, and delivery timing.
- Manage planting stock sales to growers.
- Demonstrate self-motivation and drive in building relationships and business.
- Procure grain from other elevators, traders, and cooperatives.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the agriculture industry is beneficial, but not required.
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership capabilities and a collaborative spirit to work effectively within a team.
- Customer service-oriented with excellent problem-resolution skills.
- The successful candidate will be our first representative in the Northern region, taking on the exciting challenge of building our business from the ground up.

Salary and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary starting at 100,000, with the possibility for higher compensation based on experience and qualifications
