Description

The Capacity Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the seamless execution of the freight cycle. Responsibilities include meticulous entry and scheduling of loads into the company's freight management system, adept negotiation of transportation rates with our extensive network of carriers, and proactive cultivation of existing relationships while actively pursuing new ones to bolster the company's logistics operations.

Requirements:

• 2 years of experience in transportation operations or sales capacity, 3PL, brokerage provider, or carrier for hire.
• 2 years of customer service, and problem-solving experience.
• 1 year of experience working with load-tracking software.
• Able to type at least 35 words per minute.
• 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities:

• Cover assigned loads using preferred carriers, phone solicitation, and load boards.
• Maintain 98% on-time service, striving for 100%.
• Identify and develop reputable and safe carriers.
• Stay on top of market trends in the transportation industry.
• Communicate effectively, and efficiently with customers and teammates.
• Promote team environment and profitable growth.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you must have excellent customer service and problem-solving skills along with a strong work ethic, be an excellent communicator, and possess strong analytical skills.

Work location: Gahanna, OH

This is a full-time, onsite, exempt position, with a Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. schedule. You must be available after hours to manage any complex issues that may arise with assigned loads.
