IT Contracts Manager jobs in Spokane, WA

IT Contracts Manager creates, writes, negotiates and reviews hardware or software licensing contracts. Works with the Business Development team in establishing agreements that reflect the interests of partners and the company. Being an IT Contracts Manager also works with legal counsel when drafting licensing agreements. Ensures contract performance and rewrites or amends as necessary. Additionally, IT Contracts Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Must have a solid understanding of web technology. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The IT Contracts Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes.     The Grant & Contracts Manager is responsible for researching, preparing, submitting, and managing grant proposals/reports that support HH goals and meet funder guidelines and criteria. The Grant & Contracts Manager will also be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Heritage Health contract process for all new and renewal contracts.

    Requirements

     

    Minimum qualifications:


    1. Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business, or a related field or 5 years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

    2. At least 4 years’ demonstrated experience in project management and budget development.

    3. Proven ability to evaluate and edit grant proposals and negotiate agreements and contracts. 

    4. Experience working in healthcare preferred.


    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:


    1. Must have exceptional communication (oral and written), negotiation, consultation, and presentation skills.

    2. Must have strong analytical, leadership and organizational skills.

    3. Must have demonstrated attention-to-detail and problem solving and ability to work with confidential information.

    4. Ability to exercise judgment to understand queries and develop appropriate solutions.

    5. Strong proficiency with a variety of computer software applications including word processing, spreadsheet, database management is required.

    6. Ability to perform under minimal supervision.  

    7. Must be able to interact effectively with other employees in all levels of the organization as well as with the general public.


    Duties and Responsibilities:


    1. Support submission and the pre-award process of grants and contracts

           a. Provide overview of applications/proposals to leaders

           b. Edit proposals, applications and contracts for completeness, grammar, formatting and spelling.

           c. Assist with establishing and managing budget requirements.

           d. Ensure that proposals and contracts conform to HH policies and procedures pertaining to payment terms, liability, 

               publication, licensing and intellectual property rights and overhead.

           e. Manage the submission of proposals and contracts in accordance with the policies, guidelines and deadlines of the relevant 

               funding sponsor/vendor.

           f.  Act as a central point of contact to coordinate and provide proactive and ongoing support grants and contracts.

    2. Manage post-award administration responsibilities for grants/contracts/awards.

    a. Understand HH policies and procedures as they relate to grants and contracts, financial management, procurement services 

               and Human Resources.

           b. Protect HH from reputational and financial risk by advising leadership of the implications and obligations implied by the 

               grant/contract terms.

    c. Ensure that required reporting is complete and submitted on time. 

    d. Ensure adherence to the terms and conditions of the award/contract and ensure all audit requirements are met.

    e. Ensure accurate, consistent and efficient workflow to best support organizational need and grant requirements.

    3. Communications

    a. Promote grant opportunities to leadership.

    b. Notify leadership of grants/contracts awarded. 

    c. Collaborate with the internal communications manager to prepare communications for staff.

    d. Educate leadership and staff to the contract and grant processes as applicable. 

    4. Other job-related duties as assigned.
