Revenue Auditor

WORKING HOURS: This is an hourly position. The incumbent is expected to work the necessary hours to meet the needs of a 24 hour establishment.
SUMMARY: This position audits all gaming reports, prepares revenue reconciliation for income journal entries based on audited gaming reports and revenue centers reports, and analyzes all gaming, tax reporting areas and accounting functions for compliance to NIGC, Gaming Ordinance, Internal Controls, and GAP requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reviews all documents received for completeness and accuracy.
- Performs all games audits to ensure the integrity of the gaming reports.
- Researches, documents, and corrects (when appropriate) all variances and/or anomalies using various computerized gaming systems.
- Prepares balanced income journals for audited games.
- Performs analysis of gaming reports for compliance to gaming standards set forth by various agencies.
- Performs all audits for revenue departments (i.e. food and beverage, and retail centers) using supporting documentation and computerized system reports.
- Prepares balanced income journal for revenue departments based on audited reports.
- Reviews, researches and documents variances in the vault reporting.
- Reviews all tax reporting from games for accuracy.
- Reviews and prepares final documents to meet all Title 31 requirements.
- Safeguards all assets.
- Ensures compliance with MICS as required by Federal, State and Tribal agencies.
- Assist in preparation of any Federal and State tax requirements needed for the casino or guests.
- Commits to the Team R.O.C.K. Philosophy.
- Acts as a role model and always present oneself as a credit to River Rock Casino and encourages others to do the same.
- Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, department and company policies and procedures.
- Attends all required meetings and training.
- Maintains confidentiality at all times.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
No supervisory responsibilities for this position.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.
- Minimum of two (2) years full-time accounting experience required; hospitality or casino experience industry) preferred.
- Prior experience with MS-Windows and MS-Office computer applications (i.e. Excel, Word and Outlook) required.
- Prior experience with accounting software programs required.
- Prior data entry and 10-key by touch required.
- Must have strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
- Must present professional appearance at all times.
- Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with respect to all matters pertaining to the gaming enterprise business.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED; associates degree in accounting or related field preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are important to the successful conduct of this position.
- Ability to write accurate, grammatically correct, polished reports and business correspondence.
- Must be able to speak with the public in a professional manner.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license from the Dry Creek Gaming Commission.

- Must be able to maneuver around all areas of the casino.
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and carry the weight needed to perform the duties of the job.
- Must have manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
- Must be able to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, twist and grip items.
- Must be able to respond to visual and audio cues.
