IT Quality Assurance Director is responsible for planning and directing the policies, programs, and initiatives used to monitor and measure the overall quality of IT services, systems, and software. Ensures that tracking systems capture useful operational metrics for use in reducing defects, improving service, and optimizing the implementation process. Being an IT Quality Assurance Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a top management. The IT Quality Assurance Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Description:
The individual in this role is responsible for coordinating and leading the quality assurance function while overseeing the quality management system (QMS), product line quality, and stewardship. This involves leading quality efforts by creating and incorporating quality procedures, standards and specifications to ensure product delivery to customers in a timely manner. Partner with QC, production, and product development teams and lead the quality review process across the production pipeline. Facilitate frequent review meetings for all commercial product lines ensuring they meet specifications and manage the exception process.
Work Environment
This role can be done 100% remote but their ideal candidate would be local to Minnesota. If 100% remote, would travel 10-20% of the time (mostly to MN but some CA)
This group is currently 1 person, the quality director but they are growing and have immediate plans to add at least 1 more person after this associate director is hired.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Agronomy, Supply Chain or Biology (Agriculture is preferred)
• 5 years of agriculture or food industry experience
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (ISO9001) and regulatory principles with knowledge in implementing and managing a quality program
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively cross-functionally (verified by references)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to develop and implement quality processes and programs by working with stakeholders and functional leaders
• Strong organizational and motivational skills as well as strong attention to detail
