IT Quality Assurance Process Consultant develops quality assurance, compliance, and implementation plans for individual IT functions that support the organization's overall service and software quality standards. Advises function leaders on best practices for the deployment of QA methodologies and processes. Being an IT Quality Assurance Process Consultant designs and incorporates plans for each function that drive quality service and product deliverables. Establishes a performance monitoring program and designs metrics that can be used to identify quality issues, analyze problems, and develop quality improvement initiatives. Additionally, IT Quality Assurance Process Consultant trains staff on quality concepts, objectives, tools, and processes. Requires a bachelor's degree. And typically reports to a director or head of a department. The IT Quality Assurance Process Consultant works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. Position: Quality Assurance Technician
Location: Colonial Heights, VA
Compensation: Starting at $18.41/hourSchedule: Monday - Saturday (Saturdays off based on production needs), 1st and 2nd Shift
POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs all testing of raw materials and finished products, providing technical support to production and management within the scope of training levels.
JOB TASKS / FUNCTIONS:
- Observes and obtains samples from running product to check for customer specifications; maintains records and logs of tests, audits, and other quality procedures to ensure availability of accurate and thorough information; collects and reports production data to management on a daily shift basis.
- Review and approval of batch records, product files, quality control data, and Certificates of Analysis for the purposes of product release; reviews job orders and quality check sheets
- Provide training to all production employees on quality standards and procedures; documents employee quality training records when necessary.
- Provides assistance to manufacturing personnel regarding quality problems.
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor and work well independently and within a team environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- HS Diploma, GED or equivalent
- One (1-3) year of relevant work experience, with an understanding of food safety and regulations.
PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Regularly required to stand; use hands and fingers in a repetitive motion. Frequently required to stand, walk and reach above the head. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl and talk or hear. The employee is required to lift a minimum of ten (10) lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment ranges from normal office levels to loud factory / warehouse levels.
WORK ENVIROMENT:
- Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, 1st and/or 2nd shifts
- Ability to work in temperature conditions between 35 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit; may occasionally exceed 95 degrees Fahrenheit
