Title: IT Manager (could also be IT Specialist)

Job Summary:

As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day IT issues, ensuring network reliability, security, and maintaining our Windows server environment that consists of on-premises physical and virtual servers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of networking principles, router configuration, and the ability to troubleshoot and learn on the spot. The role also requires configuring equipment and supporting customers with IT inquiries related to the products we sell.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and resolve daily IT support requests from in-office and remote staff in a timely and efficient manner. Occasional support may be required during non-business hours or weekends.
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot a Windows 10/11/Server/QuickBooks environment, ensuring high availability, performance, and patching.
• Implement and manage network security protocols to protect sensitive company data.
• Configure and manage routers, switches, and other network devices – both for internal and customer projects.
• Oversee data storage, backup, and recovery processes.
• Troubleshoot network issues, identifying and resolving connectivity problems for the organization and our customers.
• Assist in the setup, maintenance, and upgrade of IT infrastructure and customer projects.
• Employee onboarding and offboarding with relevant training on their equipment.
• Manage purchasing of new computer hardware and mobile phones for staff.
• Provide support for hardware and software installations and configurations.
• Document IT processes, system configurations, and support procedures for both internal and customer projects.
• Maintain hardware and software inventory through use of an MDM platform.
• Manage on-prem POTS phone system with vendor support.
• Collaborate with existing IT consultant.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the company’s IT infrastructure remains current and secure.
• Partner with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate solutions.
• Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 3-4 years of proven experience in an IT management or support role, with a focus on networking and Windows server environments.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, router configuration, and network security principles.
• In-depth knowledge of Exchange (365), Teams, Active Directory and GPO.
• Experience in SonicWALL, Global VPN Client, and NetExtender SSL VPN.
• Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Windows 10/11/Server.
• Experience in managing on-prem QuickBooks Desktop.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex IT issues and learn new technologies quickly.
• Experience in managing a hosted CRM solution (Zoho One) is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Network , Microsoft Certifications) are a plus.
