Description

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing support for the information technology equipment and users of the equipment in our environment. This included the following responsibilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain healthcare information systems and applications.
• Setup, maintain, and disable account access for users of the organization.
• Provide technical support to medical staff and troubleshoot system issues.
• Contact vendors for support with issues if needed.
• Ensure patient information is accurately and securely stored and easily accessible.
• Work closely with healthcare professionals to understand their IT needs and provide effective solutions.
• Help develop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data management and security.
• Train healthcare staff on the use of new systems and software.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and propose system updates when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare laws and regulations related to data management.
• Create and generate reports to aid in decision-making processes.
• Coordinate with other IT professionals to manage system updates and resolve technical issues.
• Some Travel is required.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field or comparable experience or certifications
• Proven experience in IT support, preferably in the healthcare industry.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare systems and medical terminology.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and other IT staff.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and data security standards.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
