Job Description:
Job Title: IT Business Analyst
Location: Kennesaw , Richmond, Chicago (Kennesaw is #1 priority)
Hybrid 3x per week
Contract length: 6 months (potential to extend)
Start Date: 6/1/2024
Position Summary:
This position is for a Business Analyst who will act as the primary interface with business partners, solution architects, and cross-organizational technology teams. The Analyst will analyze current processes and systems, assessing the business model and its integration with technology. The Analyst is responsible for working with stakeholders to understand their needs, analyze problems, and capture their requirements, and then working closely with the Development Team to refine the requirement into specifications that can be executed by the team. The Analyst will be responsible for creating stories and Epics in Jira. The Analyst will be part of an Agile Scrum team, collaborating with the Product Owner to evaluate the Features, write effective user stories, document business rules; and with the Developers to review technical design, identify enablers and dependencies.
Primary Skill:
- Experience documenting detailed functional and technical requirements for business requirements
- Data Mapping
- Ability to communicate and work with developers to ensure that acceptance criteria for the user stories are understood and applied
- Provides support to UAT and SIT testers to clarify requirements and determine whether a defect is a new requirement, or truly a defect
- Ability to communicate and work with Testers to ensure that test plans and scripts satisfy the requirements
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and ability to facilitate discussions
- Self-motivated and requires minimal supervision
- Good problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to analyze existing capabilities and identify gaps and opportunities
- Working knowledge of agile tools such as JIRA
Required Skills:
- Jira (making sure to keeping organized in Jira) , Confluence, SAFe, Scrum
- ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE: experience writing requirements for tests
- Agile Environment
- Documentation skills (requirements, process flows, diagrams, etc.)
- 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, working closely with business partners to elicit requirements, document process flows, identify risks and mitigation and participate in definition of strategies for the technical solution
3 years practical agile experience
Business Analyst experience in converting business need into epics and stories

Rate is dependent on qualifications: $50-$55
