Position Summary:

The Adoption Recruiter is responsible for recruiting, identifying, and referring adoptive resources in collaboration with Let It Be Us teammates serving Illinois child welfare professionals. This position provides support and guidance to prospective foster parents as well as already licensed families. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all recruitment efforts via webinars and in-person recruitment events
• Communicate closely with new recruits
• Maintain proprietary database of licensed homes
• Refer adoptive resources to individual child welfare workers
• Create monthly, quarterly and annual reports
• Work with Let It Be Us, DCFS and all Illinois Child Welfare Agencies
• create a culture of transparency, communication, and positive relationships w/excellent customer service
• Collaborate with team as needed
• Manage special projects as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

• 3 years of experience working in recruitment (or equivalent) within Illinois foster care and adoption working with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services or an Illinois Child Welfare Agency

• Bilingual preferred

Competencies

• Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment

• Strong collaboration with internal team, external agency partners and stakeholders to include Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)

• Able to create structure within an entrepreneurial environment

• Comfortable with multiple database platforms, technology, google, zoom, etc.
