Job Description:

This position is responsible for running machines in the woodshop while maintaining safety, quality, customer, housekeeping and productivity specifications. The role works according to the specifications of the work orders/drawings in the time frame provided to ensure satisfactory customer ship dates.  

Responsibilities:

• Effectively and safely control a variety of woodworking machinery including CNC’s, edge banders, glue machines, saws, and a variety of hand tools 
• Ability to operate machines and move products on carts 
• Ability to program machines as needed 
• Inspects the completed item to ensure product is to specification
• Meets deadlines with attention to detail while following quality requirements
• Maintains a clean work environment and follows housekeeping requirements
• Follows company safety policies and procedures 
• Signs off schedules and manages paperwork as directed 
• Works independently and as a team
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Maintains a professional manner
• Follow directions provided by Leads, Supervisors, and Management

Requirements

Qualifications/Skills:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment as a machine operator preferred 
• Woodworking experience preferred 
• Efficient time management skills
• Overtime required depending on workload
• Attention to detail 
• Ability to read a tape measure 
• Good math skills 
• Operation of motorized equipment (ie forklift) as needed
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds individually
• Ability to make repetitive movements, including but not limited to bending and squatting
• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred
