Rawson Inc Builders Supply is a distributor of building supply products. We are seeking to hire a first-shift, full time Accounting Clerk.

As an Accounting Clerk, you will support all accounting functions. Responsible for assisting with the timely processing of accurate accounting records for accounts receivable, accounts payable entry, cash disbursements for multiple companies. Duties include performing a variety of complex clerical and accounting tasks, applying accepted procedures in the preparation and maintenance of accounting and other records. Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.

Responsibilities:

• Back up for Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable.
• Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.
• Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable.
• Assist with month-end close process.
• Assist with year-end close process.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Set up and maintain customer credit files.
• Open mail daily.
• Running errands as needed. (i.e. post office, bank, etc.)
• Print lien waivers from Hakes website/310 lien waivers, have Controller sign and email to customer.
• Process customer invoices/statements and send to customers as instructed.
• Reconcile bank deposits for EOM process.
• Process credit applications for potential new customers.
• Review Accounts Receivable and following up for customer payment.
• Assist Accounts Payable as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

• Associate degree in accounting (Preferred).
• Minimum 2 years previous accounting experience.

Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely with team members and clients.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Very strong attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Strong work and personal ethics.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
