Jig and Fixture Builder assembles a variety of standard and non-standard major jigs, fixtures and related tooling. Ensures jigs function appropriately with complex angles or contours. Being a Jig and Fixture Builder is responsible for determining methods and sequence of operations and scheduling work to be performed from tool design drawings. Designs and creates jig and fixture details and holding devices. Additionally, Jig and Fixture Builder may be required to verify accuracy and quality in accordance with established control procedures. Requires a high school diploma in a related area with certification in the field. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Overview :
Performs work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility. Responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate handling of merchandise into and / or out of the laundry facility.
Monitors merchandise not meeting specified quality standards; Maneuvers full and empty carts and is familiar with safety standards for pushing and pulling carts 50 lbs.
and greater; Informs supervisor of any shortages every two to four increments based upon market center reporting process;
Maintains safe and clean work environment, and observes best practices in all production activities; Other duties as assigned.
Work is based on a shift schedule, and may include weekends. Overtime required as needed.
Working Environment / Safety Requirements :
Work is performed in a warehouse setting and regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme heat and cold conditions as well as dust and noise.
Requires the use of hands, wrists, and arms for grasping and other manipulations; Requires standing and walking for long periods of time.
High school degree or equivalent preferred.
