Responsibilities:
- Provide coaching and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or other special needs
- Develop training
- Assist with recruiting and interviewing potential job candidates
- Mentor and educate individuals on workplace expectations and professional behavior
- Provide support services as needed
- Collaborate with other professionals.
- Support individuals in developing job skills and achieving employment goals
- Conduct assessments to identify strengths, areas for improvement, and appropriate job placements
- Collaborate with employers to create inclusive work environments
Qualifications:
- H.S. diploma required and/or some college coursework would be helpful.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism
- Knowledge of training development principles and techniques
- Familiarity with employment labor laws and regulations related to individuals with disabilities
- Strong assessment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to educate and mentor individuals effectively
- Knowledge of workforce development strategies
