    Marsh McLennan Agency’s Northwest region is seeking a Business Insurance Client Placement and Market Specialist with a passion for collaborating and providing a high-quality client experience. An ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for partnering with Business Insurance colleagues to manage the marketing of new and renewal accounts to various insurance companies, and be the primary resource for marketing analytics, negotiating carrier coverages/terms, and finalize the market process. You are ready to provide technical leadership in support of new business development and manage multiple priority and perform in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

     

    We will give you access to mentorship, training, resources, and development to ensure your success but you will need to supply the drive and desire to be an MMA NW professional.     Responsibilities

    • Market large and middle market commercial business accounts, both new and renewals. Prepare submissions for marketing that include program design, pricing targets, and market selection. Proposal presentation meeting attendance as necessary.
    • Canvas markets/carriers for marketing intelligence on carriers as well as potential clients. Meet with carrier underwriters to discuss carrier appetites and guidelines and share information with internal team(s). Follow carrier and company guidelines to rate and issue policies, including online rating as necessary.
    • Analyze and review account exposures including, but not limited to, loss summaries, and loss runs. Conduct policy exposure analyses as needed.
    • Account collaboration: Assist and back up Client Management and Sales Executive team(s) with obtaining information from new business prospects, preparing new business and renewal proposals, and other policy information.
    • Maintain relationships with carriers and colleagues to communicate carrier pricing info, product information, and support carrier directives and guidelines.
    • Upsell and cross-sell: work with your colleagues to find a follow through on upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
    • Plus (the fine print): you’ll follow organization policies and procedures, sales and service standards and established workflows. You’ll ensure quality control through proper file documentation and maintenance. You’ll maintain confidentiality and be an all-around awesome member of our team.

    Additional Requirements:

    • 2 years of related business experience
    • Commercial policy quoting experience preferred
    • Knowledge of market appetites preferred
    • Advanced insurance education (INS, AU, CPCU, etc.) preferred
    • Applicable current state insurance licensure
