The JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. Assists in maintaining financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded. Being a JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT assists in analyzing current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Compiles financial data to aid more senior accountants in the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports. In addition, JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT requires a bachelor's degree. May require eligibility to sit for CPA exam. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being a JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. Support month-end and year-end close processes, reconciling accounts and preparing financial reports. Collaborate and liaise with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable on coding and accounting related issues. Responsible for accurate Project based Accounting and reporting. Collaborate with the finance team to analyze financial data and identify trends to support business decisions. Assist in the preparation of audit materials and liaise with auditors as required. Participate in financial forecasting and budgeting activities. Ensure compliance with company policies, as well as local, state, and federal regulations. Handle other ad hoc accounting projects and duties as assigned.   What You Will Bring   Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Recent graduate or up to 1-2 years of accounting experience (internship experience considered). Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (experience with NetSuite would be a plus). Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
