Bring your basic accounting experience to our cohesive finance team. As our Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for billing, vendor management bi-weekly basis and working with clients to ensure receipt of payments on a timely basis.

• Compensation: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour DOE, eligible for overtime pay and an end of year bonus

Responsibilities:

Client Billing:

• Assists with client billing including the collection of vendor charges for comprehensive; completes invoices
• Researches and applies the appropriate freight estimates and quotes
• Posts vendor bills into QuickBooks

Accounts Receivable

• Tracks credit holding accounts and running balances
• Processes client credit card payments including posting
• Posts check payments

Vendor Management

• Negotiates credit arrangements with vendors
• Posts vendor billing
• Tracks orders to understand and obtain information for billing
• Makes corrections to orders in Salesforce based on actual costs from vendors

Accounting Support:

• Keeps up to date on overall activities of the team; identifies problem areas and takes corrective actions
• Assists Finance Director and Accounting Manager as necessary and completes special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• AA or bachelor’s degree in accounting, preferred, or equivalent experience
• A minimum of 3-5 years of operational accounting experience
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of QuickBooks
• Advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables and more)
• Experience with Salesforce
• Proficient with Google spreadsheets
• Relationship builder with excellent communication skills; responds to A/R questions
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve
• Excellent organizational skills; detailed oriented
• Able to manage and coordinate multiple tasks and projects accurately
• Dependable and responsible with confidential information
• A team player who is eager to help the team succeed
• Able to stand, bend, reach, and stoop
• Able to work overtime as needed
