Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel West Virginia is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Financial Analyst. Responsibilities include but are not limited to producing monthly financial statements and reports, forecasting capital expenditures and operational expenses, and providing various cost analysis and divisional comparisons. The Financial Analyst will partner with Operations and Maintenance teammates in creating, tracking, and managing cost estimates and budgets for capital projects. The ideal candidate will be able to provide valuable insights and recommendations on budgeting, investment opportunities, and other financial matters to support the division’s growth and success.

• This position reports onsite in Apple Grove, West Virginia. The department schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm eastern time. Subject to change based on division needs.
  
  

Nucor Steel West Virginia is Nucor’s new sheet mill with advanced steel making capabilities and lower carbon emissions. This is a greenfield project, which is estimated to be fully operational after two years of construction. The new steel mill will employ 800 full-time teammates producing up to 3 million tons per year at one of the most technologically advanced sheet mills located in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains in close proximity to both Huntington and Charleston, WV.

This position reports onsite in Apple Grove, West Virginia. The department schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm eastern time. Subject to change based on division needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
• 1 year of relevant experience in a financial role
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing industry
• Proficiency in creating Microsoft Power BI dashboards
• Budgeting/Forecasting Experience
• Two or more years of experience in Finance or Accounting
