Position Overview
The Junior Graphic Designer will support the Creative team with digital assets, retouching, packaging & PR/Events. This designer will be responsible for organizing, editing, designing & producing creative materials within brand standards to support both external & internal projects including 2D &3D designs, PR mailings, PR events, brand collateral, education materials, gondola & more. The ideal candidate must be able to retouch imagery and design by incorporating written content with brand photography, brand assets, stock, & other components into cohesive assets & presentations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Retouch Imagery beauty and product imagery
- Catalog and organize artwork files on the server for future reference Organize digital files
- Manage a library of graphic assets that other creative departments can access & use
- Review preliminary artwork samples for color & quality & accurately relay feedback
- Actively participate in team brainstorms and provide ideas.
- Collaborate cross-functional team to understand design needs.
- Partner with the Creative Designer and 2D Designer to review ideas and solve design challenges together.
- Ensure brand aesthetics and design standards are upheld and approved assets are being used.
- Participate in weekly cross-functional department status meetings.
- Catalog and organize artwork files (working and final) on the server for future reference.
- Ability to collect and hand off organized design files to the Production team.
- Basic understanding of production requirements (dielines, type safety, lives and trim).
- Manage & multi-task a range of creative projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment to meet all deadline.
Qualifications
- BA/BS/BFA degree in Communication Arts or other Graphic Design related field.
- Software Requirements Mac platform. Adobe Creative Suite expert - InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator. Microsoft Office proficient - Teams, Word, OneNote, PowerPoint, Excel. Animation and KeyNote experience are a plus
- 1-2 years of Image retouching and graphic design experience in luxury, fashion or beauty required. Experience in retail or beauty is preferred.
- Stellar typography skills and aesthetic.
- Desire to think strategically, brainstorm and problem-solve from many angles.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to carefully follow direction. Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and team player attitude.
- Must be able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Ability to take direction and work closely with team members. Basic knowledge of pre-press and print production. Self-motivated and ability to work independently.

The ideal candidate would be able to operate successfully with intermittent supervision, yet able to flexibly collaborate closely as needed with cross-functional partners & senior management at DMB. Sound judgment, discretion & decision-making skills are of utmost importance
