MetaPhase is currently supporting a public sector client within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security through the management of a Division’s high-level operations. One of the goals of the project is to promote an integrated approach to identifying, capturing, evaluating, and sharing the organization’s information assets. These assets may include databases, documents, policies, procedures, etc., analysis and compilation of critical knowledge, skill, ability application and gaps.
MetaPhase is seeking a junior Knowledge Management Specialist to provide technical leadership in the use of traditional and digital approaches to develop and implement innovative, creative, and effective strategies to capture, interpret and share technical knowledge. This position is a junior-level role with growth and development opportunities.
Basic Qualifications (Required)
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience working in SharePoint development
- Experience in SharePoint designer for both workflow and customization
- Knowledge of SharePoint web services
- Experience working with end-users to understand needs and implement a project plan for the development of new SharePoint sites and improvements
- Proven record of providing superior customer service to individuals and organizations
- Superior ability to communicate both orally (in common English narration) and in writing, such as reports, memoranda, electronic mail
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure and tight deadlines, work independently, and work in a team environment
- Proficiencies with Microsoft Office applications, Power BI, SharePoint, and Power Apps.
- Ability to identify potential process redundancies and inefficiencies and propose improvements
- Excellent written acumen, stakeholder engagement, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to deliver high quality documentation with strict attention to detail
- Aptitude for creativity, innovation, analysis, process improvement, and problem-solving
- Innate ability to convey complex concepts simplistically via Microsoft Office Suite products (such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio)
- Current U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Public Trust clearance desired
- U.S. Citizenship required (no exceptions)
Essential Responsibilities
- Providing technical leadership in the use of traditional and digital approaches to develop and implement innovative, creative, and effective strategies to capture, interpret and share technical knowledge
- Defining the knowledge management strategy for knowledge base and maintaining high quality, up-to-date, and searchable content for audiences of varying skill level
- Working effectively across the organization to develop and support new and existing processes for retention of knowledge
- Leveraging analytics to evaluate business impact, tracking the usage and defining efficiency of the knowledge base content
- Establishing guidelines based on knowledge base best practices and developing best practices to ensure continued future success
- Using a variety of technology to include developing and maintaining SharePoint pages
- Providing support to Records and information Management and Policy, Processes and Resources
- Apply strong communication skills to build relationships, connect people, and support team members

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Communications, or other related scientific or technical discipline.
Clearance Level
This position requires a CBP Public Trust clearance. U.S. Citizenship is also required.
