Being a Lab Courier requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Responsible for maintenance and care of vehicle. In addition, Lab Courier must be licensed to operate a vehicle. Licensing requirements depend on the state. Must have a "satisfactory" driving record. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being a Lab Courier may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is recruiting a Courier to join our Hospital Laboratory department.
CMH Laboratory offers a quick and easy way to check for health problems during a routine checkup. They can help your health care provider make an accurate, timely diagnosis so the correct treatment can begin right away. Laboratory tests analyze samples of a person’s body fluids, tissues or wastes. They help show if medication is working properly, causing side effects or not killing the bacteria it should.
A typical day will include: performing daily functions relating to transporting of Hospital and Clinic Laboratory specimens for laboratory testing; actively and consistently contributing to the department operations and communications; behaves in a manner consistent with the mission and objectives of CMH and performs other duties as requested.
The position is: Part-time days, Thursday, Friday, and every other Wednesday, 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.
