Summary:
General daily duties involve direct interaction with clients; answering the phones; processing payments; receive, login and store of samples; reviewing chain of custodies (COCs) for completeness; login samples into laboratory information management system (LIMS); recognizing time critical analyses and delivering them to respective departments.
Must be able to complete assignments working under standard operating procedures (SOPs). Must be able to perform assigned tasks proficiently; maintain good quality control measures; ensure thorough and legible documentation practices; be able to effectively communicate, summarize and present information; as well as respond to questions in a logical manner.
Must exhibit good customer service and be able to work independently with minimum supervision. Organizational skills, reliability, attention-to-detail, multi-tasking, ability to adhere to schedule and routine essential. Maintaining a clean and orderly work space, the use of personal protective equipment (where applicable), safe handling of chemicals and the exercising of laboratory safety practices required.
Candidates with demonstrated customer service within a laboratory setting and a history of working in high-pressure environments preferred. High School diploma and 2 years of work experience within a relevant field required; associates degree in a relevant field (or equivalent science units), highly desired.
