SUMMARY: The Student Information Systems Coordinator has the responsibility of ensuring that all students, parents and staff have a positive, safe and productive experience with the Student Information Systems (SIS). This position will lead, develop, organize and implement features and initiatives involving the SIS.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Demonstrates sound judgement and emotional stability.

· Interacts with staff, students and the community in a positive and respectful manner.
· Coordinates the daily operation of the Student Information Systems.
· Provides support, training and structure for SIS users.
· Supports the district’s EMIS reporting process.
· Attends meetings and other training to keep up-to-date with the SIS for the district.
· Enters student data into the state assessment system and troubleshoots system errors.
· Coordinates the development of databases and/or data warehouses to store and analyze student data (e.g., assessment data and forms).
· Evaluates district data processes and systems, and develops systems and procedures to increase efficiency, accuracy and consistency across the district.
· Supports the creation and maintenance of dashboard and reporting tools to promote the effective use of data.
· Creates procedures and guidelines for district and building staff covering critical district operations, including attendance, scheduling, fees, Point-of-Sale and grading.
· Oversees and maintains the performance of online grade books.
· Assists with the integration of the SIS with other systems.
· Creates custom reports and data extracts.
· Maintains respect at all times for internal and external confidential information.
· Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
· Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience with computer systems preferred.
· Experience in educational organizations preferred.
· Experience in working with databases (database structures, SQL queries, data extractions and imports (flat files).
· Experience and/or understanding of student scheduling and attendance processing.
· Three to five years of experience working with student information systems (Infinite Campus), EMIS, databases desirable.
· Knowledge and understanding of applicable regulations including HB 410 and FERPA preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGULATIONS:
· Valid Ohio driver’s license and insured vehicle for onsite repairs.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Experience in working directly with technical staff on projects.
· Experience with productivity software such as Microsoft Office and Google Apps for Education.
· Must be able to build and maintain complete spreadsheets including multiple sheets within a workbook and complex formulas.
· Ability to create and deliver training to staff members on SIS.
· Ability to set priorities and work well under pressure with attention to details.
· Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal direction.
· Must be well organized, have good oral and written communication skills, and a commitment to customer service.
