Laboratory Manager manages the daily activities of the laboratory. Develops laboratory policies and procedures and issues updates as needed. Being a Laboratory Manager plans and designs experiments. Estimates the time and resources needed to complete projects. Additionally, Laboratory Manager orders and inspects materials and equipment and maintains detailed and accurate inventory of lab supplies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Laboratory Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Laboratory Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Responsibilities
    • Maintain the overall security posture of the systems and be responsible for implementing the Risk Management Framework (RMF), while being flexible to the interpretation and needs of multiple customers. 
    • Expertise with NIST SP 800 Series, DCSA DAAPM, DoD Instructions, and understanding of COMSEC.
    • Identify, respond to, and remediate any security related IT issues. 
    • Prepare, submit and track Risk Management Framework (RMF) documents and plans for system accreditation (ATO), auditing, continuous monitoring and system disestablishment.
    • Serve as the principal IA advisor on all matters, technical and otherwise, involving the security of the systems at the site. 
    • Auditing information systems, components, and cloud services
    • Advise facilities team in matters of TEMPEST and red/black separation.
    • Coordinate and lead any SDL Internal or Government sponsored Inspections, Audits, or Inquiries.
    • Interface regularly with internal and external customers building strong relationships.
    • Supervisory responsibility of other IA personnel as needed.
    Required Qualifications:
    • 10 years of work experience
    • CISSP or equivalent certification
    • Must be a U.S. citizen and have an active Top Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance
    • BS degree or equivalent in Information Assurance, MIS, Business, or related field preferred
    • Expertise with Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes & requirements
    • Strong understanding of Information Systems security best practices and use of security tools
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, quick learner, and critical thinker
    • Works well independently and as part of a team
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Effectively communicate and coordinate with a wide range of internal and external customers
    • Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, demanding environment.
    • Working knowledge of operating systems, domains, and networks
    • Able to apply knowledge to complex practical situations and ability to make difficult decisions quickly
    • Writing, interpreting and understanding policies.
