Land Administration Manager manages the proper receiving, recording, documentation, and dissemination of all land agreements and land contracts. Serves as a liaison to the land department and customers to ensure proper interpretation of land agreements and contracts. Being a Land Administration Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Land Administration Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Under general supervision, this position coordinates grant program activities and other related federal, state, and local programs. Functions and tasks include: coordination with various County departments and County-assisted agencies; acting as County liaison to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and other State and municipal agencies; manages grant funded awards including construction related projects; assisting various local agencies and non-profits using or seeking grant funding; maintaining records, monitoring of grant recipients, and preparing annual application and reports to the County, State, and Federal governments. This position reports to the Community Development Director.
Bachelor’s degree in public administration, Planning or related discipline is required. Master’s Degree Preferred. Minimum Three (3) years related experience with state and/or federal grant administration. Ability to interpret and apply complex state and federal regulations. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Previous HUD training preferred. Possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License with minimum automobile insurance as required by law.
