Land Surveyors Manager manages a team that collects field data by using surveying equipment and software. Schedules and reviews surveys of land surfaces. Being a Land Surveyors Manager ensures compliance with all applicable regulations. Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Additionally, Land Surveyors Manager acts as an advisor to the land surveying team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Land Surveyors Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Role Description
As a Professional Land Surveyor & division head, you will be responsible for business development in all areas of surveying to include boundary, construction staking, ALTA, drone, topography, subdivision, etc. Strong leadership characteristics essential for acquiring & keeping clients and support staff. You will work with a team of professionals to ensure accurate measurements, collect and analyze data, and provide recommendations based on survey results & client/project needs & deliverables. Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively oversee others are essential for success in this role.
Qualifications
Valid Professional Land Surveyor license in the state of Kentucky
Would be beneficial if also licensed, or willing & able to be licensed, in the states surrounding Kentucky.
At least 10 years experience in land surveying, including boundary surveys, topographic surveys, ALTA, drone and construction staking
Proficiency in using surveying equipment, such as total stations, GPS, drones and data collectors
Excellent knowledge of surveying principles, practices, and techniques
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret maps, legal documents, and blueprints/design plans
Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
