Ensures compliance to all applicable regulations and requirements including boundary calculations and legal issues. Being a Land Surveyors Manager ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Acts as advisor to land surveying team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Additionally, Land Surveyors Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a unit/department head. The Land Surveyors Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. RIC is seeking a talented field survey manager with a strong knowledge of the survey and engineering industry to join our team. A qualified candidate must be able to work as part of a team, be dependable, have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our team of engineers, survey managers and survey technicians in the planning, scheduling, and performance of multiple boundary and topographical survey projects. In addition, this position is responsible for supervision, resource management, and accountability for the results of the team’s work outcomes. Candidates should be able to apply sound survey principles in planning, evaluation and completing survey projects as well as approving field measurements and directing and assisting with the preparation of survey documents.
