    • This position serves as a Field Manager for the Green River District.
    • Makes principal decisions for the Price Field Office in regards to the uses of BLM administered lands and resources.

    Specialized Experience: Applicants must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 level equivalent in difficulty and complexity to perform the duties of a Field Manager. Qualifying specialized experience includes: providing supervision, leadership, motivation, and direction in program areas that support the management of multiple-use and ecosystem management within an organization; developing and maintaining effective relationships and communications both orally and written with a variety of groups, such as local, State and Federal agencies, tribal governments, advisory groups, congressional staff, interest and user groups, private organizations and the media; demonstrating experience in workforce and strategic planning, identifying issues, resolving conflicts and negotiating solutions; overseeing responsibilities for administrative and financial management functions including budget planning; and enforcing policies and programs related to leave administration, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), safety and drug and harassment free workplace.

    Physical Demands: Normally works in an office setting with occasional trips to the field. Occasionally required to walk moderately long distances over rough terrain during normal fieldwork.

When in the field, subject to injuries when walking in rough terrain and exposure to uncomfortable hot and cold temperatures. Incumbent will adhere to all safety rules and regulations as prescribed in manuals/supplements or by the designated Safety Officer.
