Position Summary
The Data Architect is responsible for various aspects of Data Management and Data Architecture with an emphasis on Domain and Data Modeling, Data Migrations, and Data Quality Monitoring. This role is an experienced Data Architect with a background in Data Modeling, Analysis, and Engineering, that will assist in designing, developing, and deploying data-driven solutions as part of a strategic data transformation effort. The candidate will join a team of Architects and Engineers who are responsible for optimizing and transforming our data architecture, infrastructure, operations, and related functions. This team will work with developers, architects, business/data analysts, and data scientists on data initiatives and will ensure optimal data solutions.
Essential Job Functions:

Design and Development of Data Platforms emphasizing the production of Data Taxonomies, Dictionaries, and Models (Conceptual, Logical, Physical) to support Data Services (API) development and Physical Data Model deployments.

Apply modern data management toolsets and coding methods to design, build, implement, and optimize data solutions of all types – including OLTP, Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, ODS, streaming data, analytics, and BI/visualizations.

Translate business issues and needs into Data and System requirements and Architect the management of data assets and their flow through the enterprise.

Transform legacy data structures and processes to modern, capable, and secure solutions in a hybrid cloud setup.

Apply Data Engineering and design best practices to architect solutions, using a deep understanding of various data formats and database design approaches.

Architect Data Storage solutions for OLTP (CRM, etc.) Systems, Analytics Platforms, Data Lake, Data Warehouse with Relational Database and Object Storage methods tailored for best fit for the needs.
Position Requirements:

2 years of experience in Data and Database Design, Data Modeling, and Data Analysis.

Experience with Data Modeling Tools, Toad Data Modeler, Erwin or similar.

Database and SQL skills, with RDBMS: one or more of Postgres, Oracle, SQL Server. Experience with database front-end tools such as PG Admin, Toad, SQL Server Management Studio, or similar.

Understanding of JSON structures and Key-Value
Preferred:

Experience with both production (OLTP) and analytics (DW) data, batch, real-time, event-driven, and streaming.

Data Engineering and Data Operations

Experience developing reports and dashboards with one or more Reporting Tools such as Microsoft SSRS, Tableau, Superset, or similar.

Experience building data services and/or data pipelines using Python, Java, or similar tools.

Experience with one or more of Kafka, Hazel cast, Enterprise Search or Elastic, Airflow, Spark, Parquet, Avro, Iceberg, or similar.

Knowledge of Stored procedures in Postgres, Oracle, and/or SQL Server a plus.
