Lead Merchandiser jobs in Kansas City, KS

• Responsible for 3-5 stores.
• Manage teams of 0 to 15 merchandisers.
• Train team members.
• Assist in merchandising plant shipments.
• Set and maintain floor sets and modules/planograms.
• Train clients on proper watering techniques, receiving procedures, and plant information.
• Ensure plants are getting watered on a regular basis.
• Build relationships with customers and clients.
• Work as a team player.
• Provide weekly updates and field insight using reporting apps and photos.
• Key communications with shipping facilities.
• Work with clients to show them the value of growing their business.
• Assist clients in inventory management.

• Weekend availability.
• Daily travel within the market required.
• Daytime availability.
• Open to fluctuating hours (In Season: 40 hours a week/out of season: 32 hours a week).
• Ability to stand, lift, push, pull up to 75lbs for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions (snow, ice, rain, wind, heat, cold).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-performance environment.
• High level of problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Extensive experience in retail merchandising (Garden center merchandising a plus).
• Ability to work independently.
• Reliable transportation, and willing to submit to an MVR.
• Car Insurance listed in your name.
• Smartphone, and knowledge of how to use it efficiently.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

• Start at $19-$20 per hour based on experience.
• Monthly cell phone stipend.
• Mileage reimbursement/paid travel.
• Eligible for paid time off after 6 months.
